Pursuant to the Local Government Code, §2118 and Jacksboro Code of Ordinances CHAPTER 33 DEPARTMENTS, BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS, the Board is authorized to make special exceptions to the terms of the Jacksboro Zoning Ordinance.

The hardship must be one which is not generally true of other properties in the area and which is not a self-created hardship. The economic cost of compliance is not legally considered a hardship.
A quorum is required to conduct business and the Board meets in public forum.
