CITY OF JACKSBORO, TEXAS

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

ON PROPOSED BUDGET AND PROPOSED TAX RATE

Notice is hereby given that the City of Jacksboro City Council will hold public hearings on the following days, times and place for the purpose of receiving written or oral comments concerning the proposed budget and proposed tax rate for fiscal year 2022.

DATES: Monday, August 9, 2021 and Thursday, August 26, 2021

TIMES: 5:30 p.m. 

PLACE: City Hall 112 W. Belknap St, Jacksboro, Texas 76458

THIS BUDGET WILL RAISE THE SAME AMOUNT OF REVENUE FROM PROPERTY TAXES AS LAST YEAR’S BUDGET.  THE PROPERTY TAX REVENUE TO BE RAISED FROM NEW PROPERTY ADDED TO THE TAX ROLL THIS YEAR IS $9,448.

All interested citizens are encouraged to attend and/or submit comments. 

A copy of the proposed budget in its entirety and the proposed tax rate notice are available for public inspection during normal business hours (Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) in the office of the City Secretary at City Hall, 112 W. Belknap Street, Jacksboro, Texas and on the City’s website at www.cityofjacksboro.com.

This facility is wheelchair accessible and accessible parking spaces are available.  Requests for accommodations or interpretative services must be made 48 hours prior to this meeting.  Please contact the City Secretary’s office at (940) 567-6321 or FAX (940) 567-2590 for requests.
