The City Council annually adopts a budget that outlines the projected revenues and expenditures for the year. The budget acts as the Annual Program of Services because it outlines the projects and services that will be funded for the upcoming year. The City of Jacksboro fiscal year runs from October 1 to September 30.
The City of Jacksboro has been a recipient of the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award given by the Government Finance Officers Association for the last five years.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
Notice is hereby given that the City of Jacksboro City Council will hold Public Hearings during the following meetings.
The purpose of these hearings are to
1) Consider adoption of the Fiscal Year 2018-2019 Budget; and
2) Consider adoption of the 2018-2019 Property Tax Rate.
All meetings will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall at 112 W. Belknap St, Jacksboro, TX
The public may comment in person during the public hearings; provide written comments through mail at the address stated above, email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by fax at 940-567-2590. Any written comments will be included with information provided to the city council for their consideration.
A summary of the proposed budget is available for inspection during normal business hours (8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) at City Hall, 112 W. Belknap Street, Jacksboro, Texas, in the office of the City Secretary, or can be viewed at http://www.cityofjacksboro.com/DocumentCenter/View/600.
