AND

CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

ZONING CHANGE REQUEST

Public Hearings scheduled for requested zoning amendments are as follows:

City of Jacksboro Planning and Zoning Commission on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. and Jacksboro City Council on Monday, August 8, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. Both meetings will be held at the Council Room at Jacksboro City Hall, 112 W. Belknap, Jacksboro, Texas 76458. Requested amendments to the City of Jacksboro Zoning Ordinance to be considered:

  1. Request to allow for posting of a business sign for a home occupancy business and to allow for a private dog park for public use to be maintained daily by Owner at 836 W Union St, being located in a residence in the Single Family 1 (SF1) Zoning District, also identified by Jack County Appraisal District as Parcel #7261 and being Lot 1, Blk 40 of the Lindsey Addition, Jacksboro, Jack County Tx. Owner Name: Shae Clemons (Case# Z-04-2022).

  2. Proposed changes to the current zoning regulations.

In continued efforts to best direct the community’s physical growth; preserve and enhance the community’s quality of life; and to provide a common vision for Jacksboro’s future, the Jacksboro Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council are making proposal for changes to the City of Jacksboro Zoning Ordinance. 

Proposal of the Zoning Ordinance changes will be available for public viewing beginning July 13, 2022 through August 8, 2022 at:

and at City Hall at 112 W. Belknap St, Jacksboro, TX 76458 during normal work days and hours, Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., additional access hours available by appointment.

Property owners participation is encouraged at the hearing(s), written description of interest/concerns is required. Property owners unable to attend may send a written reply prior to the date of the hearing(s) to the City of Jacksboro c/o Brenda Tarpley, City Secretary, City Hall 112 W. Belknap St, Jacksboro, TX, 940-567-6321.
