The City of Jacksboro offers benefits for regular, full-time employees, including:
The City of Jacksboro provides Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and AD&D insurance for full-time employees at no cost. Dependents may be covered under these plans at group rates. The City also offers optional programs such as additional life, accident insurance, short-term disability, and critical illness plans. All employees are covered by workers' compensation for injuries sustained in the line of duty.
The City of Jacksboro participates in Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS). All full-time employees contribute 7% of their salary to the program. Upon retirement the City of Jacksboro will match the employee's contribution two to one.
All full-time employees who have been with the City of Jacksboro at least six months receive $5 per month for every month worked.
Employees receive eleven paid holidays per year.
Full-time employees accrue sick leave at the rate of eight (8) hours per month, for a total of 96 hours per year.
Police Officers working 12-hour shifts are eligible to accrue sick leave at the rate of twelve (12) hours per month for a total of 144 hours per year.
One year through five years of service: 80 hours per year
Six years through ten years of service: 96 hours per year
Eleven years through 15 years of service: 120 hours per year
Over 15 years of service: 160 hours per year
All employees will have their bi-weekly paychecks automatically deposited to any bank requested.
