1. Where can I obtain an employment application for the City of Jacksboro?

Applications are available online and in the HR office.

2. Will the City accept a resume instead of an application?

No. We require that an application be on file. You may attach your resume and cover letter to a completed application.

3. Do you interview candidates on the spot?

The Human Resources department accepts the applications, the hiring is the responsibility of each individual department.

4. What is required after the interview to be hired?

After all interview have been conducted the department head will notify Human Resources of the candidate that has been chosen. From that point forward the following steps must be completed:
1. Reference Check
2. Background check (including criminal history)
3. Employment verifications
4. Driving record check
5. Pre-employment drug screen/physical
