The Finance Department is responsible for the supervision and administration of the city’s financial activities. These activities include financial reporting, investments, debt management, risk management, grant management, and budget preparation. The department also provides financial services to the Jacksboro Economic Development Corporation.

The Finance Department also administers and maintains the personnel policies of the city. The department addresses all matters relating to payroll and personnel, including employee benefits and personnel guidelines.
